Investment Objectives
The fund’s objective is to provide long-term growth through capital appreciation and to generate interest income. It seeks a similar return to BMO Guardian Global Absolute Return Fund by investing primarily in units of that fund. The fund may invest directly in securities in which BMO Guardian Global Absolute Return Fund may invest. The fund may also invest directly in fixed income securities and cash or cash equivalents.
How This Fund Works
This Fund invests in global companies with a focus on capital preservation first and growth of capital second. The manager invests in companies that are trading at deeply discounted valuations and which have a potential investment catalyst, such as a restructuring, to drive capital growth. The manager may hold up to 15% in cash for defensive purposes.
